TSA Newsletter Initiates Coverage On SIAL and NATI
For Immediate Release: Tuesday, February 02, 2010
Raleigh, NC. The Technology Stock Advisor, a weekly internet stock newsletter covering high technology stocks, initiated coverage today on Sigma-Aldrich (SIAL) and National Instruments Corporation (NATI)..
“We have had Sigma-Aldrich under review for a number of years, and actually had them in our active portfolios several years ago,” said Thomas Vass, the investment advisor to the newsletter. “Sometimes, the financial ratios that we monitor for a company go outside the parameters that we like to maintain, which was the case for SIAL,” he explained.
The methodology followed by the Technology Stock Advisor begins its search for companies in a defined set of technology value chains and then applies financial screening criteria to come up with stocks that are candidates for further review.
“We suspect that part of the stock price movement for technology stocks is a reflection of where the company happens to be in its technology innovation cycle,” said Vass. “The stock price today,” he added, “is a reflection of the future financial performance of the company based upon its technological potential.”
Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, develops, manufactures, purchases, and distributes various biochemicals and organic chemicals worldwide. Its chemical products and kits are used in scientific research, including genomic and proteomic; biotechnology; pharmaceutical development; and as key components in pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and other high technology manufacturing
National Instruments Corporation engages in the manufacture and supply of measurement and automation products. It provides application software and hardware that combine with industry-standard computers, networks, and third party devices to create measurement, automation and embedded systems.
SIAL was added to the TSA portfolio with an A quality rating, and NATI was assigned a quality rating of B.
